Telehealth

How much does Modo Bio Telehealth cost?

Modo Bio does not dictate rates for any telehealth calls. Since this is a “bring your own provider” (BYOP) platform, the rates will be determined by your existing providers that you invite to be part of your Team.

How long is a telehealth call?

All calls are scheduled for 30 minutes. The full 30-minute allocation may not always be necessary, but we want to make sure you and the provider don’t feel rushed and have enough time to come up with a plan for your health goals.

What is the soonest time I can schedule a telehealth appointment for?

The earliest possible timeslot you will be able to book a telehealth appointment for is at least 2 hours ahead of the current time.

Do I have to be 18 to use Modo Bio Telehealth?

Yes, currently we can only treat people 18+ via telehealth.

What services are offered via telehealth?

Modo Bio does not dictate the services offered by the health care and wellness providers you invite to be part of your Team. Since this is a “bring your own provider” (BYOP) platform, the services offered will be determined by the scope, licensure, expertise, and preference of your existing providers.

Do I need to be a subscriber to access telehealth?

Yes, telehealth is only available via paid subscription.

Can I refill my prescription?

That can be determined by your existing healthcare provider.

What are the connection requirements for the Telehealth Virtual Visit?

A standard high-speed connection should be adequate for any virtual visit.

What if I have a follow-up question for my Provider?

Once the call is completed there is no further communication available from you to the provider via our platform. However, your provider may give you other instructions for follow-up questions (office number, patient portal, etc).

Do you accept insurance?

Your health care provider may bill insurance for the telehealth appointment along with any other services as they would a regular office visit. However, Modo Bio as a platform does not facilitate the billing process to your insurance company.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major debit and credit cards.

Can I request a wellness lab ahead of my appointment?

Currently that is not part of the service. You can order labs through a 3rd party like AnyLabTestNow or UltaLabs and enter the results into the Blood Chemistry section prior to a telehealth appointment if you wish to discuss the results with your health care or wellness provider.

How do I cancel a Modo Bio Telehealth visit?

On the app, go to the connect tab to view any scheduled telehealth appointments. Future telehealth appointments will be shown as a card on the top of the screen. Press the vertical ellipses button which will show you an option to cancel the appointment. Cancelling within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time will result in you being charged for that appointment. To avoid this late cancellation change, please cancel outside of the 24-hour cancellation window.

What information can I share with my Providers ahead of my appointment to help them understand my reason for visit?

You can include text, photos and leave a voice memo to help clearly describe what you would like to achieve during your appointment.

How do I set up an account?

Once you’ve downloaded and opened the app, you’ll be guided through sign-up.

Do I need to be a paid subscriber to be in my family/friend’s team?

No, you don’t need to pay for a subscription to be added to someone’s Team. Your friends and family can add you to their Team and share their health data so you can be there for support, accountability, and motivation.

How much does a subscription cost?

A subscription is $9.99 per month or $97.99 annually.

What does a subscription get me?

With a subscription, you can sync your wearable device (Apple Watch, Fitbit, Oura Ring) to populate your dashboard. You’ll be able to create a Team consisting of your existing health care providers, friends and family. You can also store your personal health records so you always have them in one place. Finally, you can book telehealth calls via the Connect Tab with your existing health care and wellness providers. Your providers will be equipped with more continuous data to help you accomplish your goals.

How is my personal information and medical history stored?

The Modo Bio app and platform were built with industry best practices including data encryption in transit and at rest. This was all put in place to ensure your privacy and protect your data.

Wearables

Which wearable devices do you support?

We currently support Apple Watch, Fitbit, and Oura Ring.

What if my wearable isn’t listed?

We will be expanding our list of compatible devices in the future. Feel free to email support@modobio.com with your device details if you want to help provide input for which devices to support next.

How do I know my device synched properly?

Once a device has been successfully synched, you will see a green checkmark appear next to the device type on the Devices Page.

How long does it take for the data to sync?

It may take up to 24 hours for data to appear on your dashboard once you’ve successfully synced your device.

What if my data doesn’t sync?

Please make sure you are using a supported device. If you are and the issue persists, please contact support@modobio.com and our team will work to resolve it with you.

Who can I share my data with?

You can share your wearable data and personal health record with anyone you choose on our platform – health care providers, wellness providers, friends, and family. Data sharing is also modular so you can decide what types of data you share with each person on your Team. You can change which data you’re sharing at any time, you can revoke permission, and you can remove people from your Team entirely. You have complete control.

Can I trust Modo Bio with my data?

Yes, Modo Bio puts your privacy and data protection as a top priority. You own your health data and have complete control over who you share this data with and which parts of your health data they can access. Modo Bio does not sell data to third parties and the app was also built with industry best practices including data encryption in transit and at rest. This was all put in place to ensure your privacy and protect your data.

Personal Health Records

Which personal health records can I store within the app?

You can store your medical history which includes your blood type, family medical history, social history, and sexual history. You can also upload past diagnostic imaging, input lab results and any blood pressure readings.

Can I share my personal health records?

Yes, you can share your health records with anyone you choose if they are on your team. You are also free to restrict or revoke access for any reason at any time. We don’t currently integrate with Electronic Health Records (EHRs).

How is a personal health record different from a patient portal?

The function of both are the same. However, with Modo Bio’s personal health record, you’re not longer tethered to your doctors patient portal. If you ever change doctors, your health record can travel with you. Plus you can bring in all provider types to your Team plus your friends and family.
