Deep Breathing

Deep breathing exercises can help relax your mind and body by allowing more oxygen into your bloodstream which will help calm yourself down when feeling stressed out or anxious. Some good deep breathing exercises include 4-7-8 breathing or box breathing  which involves deep, slow breaths. Box breathing is matching 4 phases of a breath cycle to the same length. It works by regulating your breathing rate and slowing your heart rate. To do box breathing, inhale deeply for 3 seconds, hold the breath for 3 seconds, then exhale for 43seconds, and finally hold the breath again for 3 seconds. Repeat this sequence until you feel relaxed and centered.

Eat Healthy

Eating healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, etc., will help keep your energy levels up while also regulating hormones in the body that contribute to stress levels such as cortisol and adrenaline which increase when we are feeling overwhelmed or anxious about something in our lives.  Additionally, avoid processed snacks and junk food if possible since these foods have been linked with higher levels of stress due their lack of nutrients necessary for proper functioning within our bodies.  Avoid caffeine as well as this can increase anxiety levels as well as heart rate which might not be ideal for those looking for relaxation techniques during stressful moments!

Get Enough Sleep

Not getting enough sleep can lead to increased stress levels due to fatigue from lack of restful sleep so make sure you are getting 6-8 hours every night depending on individual needs (some require more while others might need less) but whatever the case may be try sticking with a consistent routine so that there is no disruption in natural circadian rhythms within our bodies!

Yoga combines both physical activity with controlled breathing techniques along with guided meditations which can all help reduce overall stress levels within individuals who participate regularly; yoga poses like downward dog or warrior two put pressure onto certain areas throughout our bodies allowing us release any tension stored up inside those muscles while also finding inner peace through connecting breath work into each pose being performed!

Talk to Someone

Talking with someone whether it’s a friend or family member about what’s going on in life can often provide perspective from outside sources which could give us insight into how we’re feeling internally without having too much bias towards ourselves – talking openly about issues gives us permission (and sometimes even validation) for how we’re feeling which ultimately allows us to process emotions better instead bottling them up inside!
